The Team Behind Gold Leader Design
Gold Leader Displays was founded by husband-and-wife team Jodi and Mike—a blend of running grit, racing magic, and creative storytelling brought to life in every piece we design.
Mike is an avid runner who has completed runDisney races, local marathons, and even crossed both the Chicago and Boston Marathon finish lines. Jodi, a designer at heart, started Gold Leader Displays as a way to support Mike’s running journey—transforming medals from “just hanging around” into meaningful displays that celebrate every mile and every moment earned along the way.
While Jodi occasionally joins in the fun at runDisney events, she is just as happy on the sidelines—cheering, observing, and dreaming up designs that runners can treasure for years to come.
What began as a way to honor Mike’s accomplishments has grown into a passion: creating themed displays worthy of the hard-earned medals they represent—whether someone is celebrating their first 5K or their next major race challenge.
Our Heart Behind the Work
Every race represents more than distance—it represents resilience, gratitude, and the quiet strength that carries runners through the parts no one sees. Our displays are created to honor that unseen endurance and to turn finish lines into lasting reminders of what was overcome to get there.
At Gold Leader Displays, we believe medals aren’t just souvenirs. They mark stories of perseverance, appreciation, faithfulness, and celebration—often in that order. Our goal is to craft pieces that let runners look back and remember not just the race, but the grace that got them through it.
Why “Gold Leader”?
Our name is a nod to a certain rebel call sign from a galaxy far, far away—because just like our favorite heroes, runners take on each race with courage, focus, and a flair for the dramatic.
Our Mission
To create handcrafted displays that honor endurance, reflect gratitude, and help runners showcase their journey in a way that is worthy of the miles they ran to earn it.
